Reiki Session
This is where Healing begins
What is reiki?
Reiki is a healing modality designed to bring harmony and balance back to the mind and body. The practitioner uses their hands to draw energy to the body in a way that can encourage increased circulation, healing and overall relaxation. It can be seen as another form of body work, without manipulation of the physical form. I may place my hands on the horse if they need it, or move them to help encourage a release, but the goal is to help the horse with whatever they are dealing with below the surface (or help maintain a harmonious body!)
What will the first session look like?
During your first Reiki Consultation, we will discuss your horse's current environment, diet, activities, and behaviors. We will also discuss your goals and anything you wish to help your horse with. It's important to note that Reiki can also be used to perpetuate the good, so if your horse is already happy and healthy, Reiki is a good way to keep it that way.
I will take notes of your horses physical, emotional and environmental states to be able to track changes and progress. Then I will approach your equine friend and see what they have to say, and progress with treatment from there. Communication is key, and I do my best to help bridge the gap between horse and human.
then What?
After the session, I write up all notes and experiences from our session and email a copy to you. If I find something concerning, I will encourage a vet visit. Most horses benefit from a few sessions before big changes happen, so I do encourage recipients to schedule a few more in-person sessions, and sometimes a human reiki session if the horse points us in that direction. If the horse is dealing with a major emotional or behavioral issue, I may suggest adding a training session to the mix to help restore balance between a horse and their human.
Keep the good vibes flowing!
